System migration is necessary when the current technologies become obsolete, and more efficient platforms become available. The client required to adopt a new platform when their legacy system can no longer handle evolving business needs. The project dealt with S/390 to AS/400 and iSeries.

A large statewide insurance provider
Project Definition:
- Implementation of medical claim format upgrade – simultaneous with platform conversion effort
- Migration of the entire processing environment from IBM S/390 to AS/400 platform
- Modification of claim processing source code to run on the AS/400 platform
